The search for new sources of energy which are cleaner and more respectful to the environment has led to a great deal of development of renewable energies (wind power, solar thermal, biomass, or marine among others). From the perspective of current technology, it has become clear that the future supply of energy is only possible with a mix of conventional and renewable energy sources. The tubes and pipes used in the energy sector are primarily incorporated into equipment and processes of power generation and heat transfer such as boilers, heat exchangers, heaters, etc.
